How to reset a Pulsar67 VPS password
If you lose access to a VPS password, use the device settings page in the Pulsar67 client area. A new password will be generated and emailed to the address on your account.
Reset steps
- Sign in to the Pulsar67 client area.
- Open the device or VPS you need to access.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Reset password.
- Confirm the reset.
After confirmation, Pulsar67 generates a new password for the VPS.
Email delivery
The new password is emailed to the address on your Pulsar67 account. Check your inbox first, then your spam or junk folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes.
If your account email is no longer accessible, open a support ticket so we can help verify account ownership.
After the reset
Log in with the new password and change it to something you control.
passwd
If you normally use SSH keys, add your key again if needed and consider disabling password SSH login after you confirm key access works.
Troubleshooting
- If SSH rejects the new password, wait a minute and try again.
- If the email does not arrive, check spam or junk folders.
- If the server is not booted, start it before attempting SSH login.
- If you still cannot access the VPS, open a ticket from the client area.
